1、 Exhibition Introduction
The 2024 Malaysia Digital and Green Technology Industry Expo is a comprehensive exhibition jointly organized by the China International Association for Science and Technology Cooperation and the Malaysia Technology and Innovation Research Accelerator, hosted by Shanghai Yisheng Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. and Asia Resources Holdings Co., Ltd.
The exhibition relies on the support of the Malaysian government and its vast domestic industrial market, integrating relevant industry resources and industry association resources at home and abroad. It will focus on showcasing various technology product elements urgently needed in the Malaysian market, such as semiconductors and LED lighting, smart home appliances, smart equipment, digital technology, agricultural technology, medical technology, consumer electronics, etc., and fully meet the development needs of domestic enterprises in the Malaysian market. At the same time, we are building a one-stop B2B procurement platform for high-tech industries in Malaysia, introducing "digital green intelligent technology" to thousands of households in Malaysia.
2、 Exhibition background
Malaysia has unique geographical advantages, is an important node of the the Belt and Road, connects ASEAN, radiates Muslims and the Commonwealth countries, and has a highly international legal system and friendly living environment. In 2022, Malaysia ranked 36th in the global innovation index, second only to Singapore among ASEAN countries. Outstanding performance in the import and export of high-tech and innovative products, with high-tech exports and imports ranking first and fourth globally as a percentage of total trade volume, respectively. To maintain the driving force of technological innovation, the Malaysian government has introduced a series of supportive policies and formulated a roadmap for technologies such as artificial intelligence, nanotechnology and products, electronic technology, and advanced materials.
The digital economy, green technology, and electric vehicles are the three emerging industries that the Malaysian government focuses on introducing. In the field of green technology, Malaysia aims to reduce carbon emissions by 45% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. MIDA Malaysia Investment and Development Authority has formulated a series of policies to support sustainable development, including green income tax exemptions, intelligent automation subsidies, and Industry 4.0 support funds. In the field of digital technology, the Malaysian government issued the MyDIGITAL blueprint and National Industry 4.0 policy in 2021, promoting digital investment and industry university research cooperation in ten major areas including smart cities and transportation, healthcare, and smart agriculture.
